Links	February 17th	Hawaiian Appliqué	Mini workshop led by Brenda and Pam
Guest Book	March 17th	Make and Take	Come and try - a range of techniques from simple to more advanced. Also a raffle of stitch related items. An open meeting when visitors and friends are especially welcome (£2.50 entrance)

	May 19th	A.G.M. and Charity Project	Starting to make blocks for the charity project - The Addiscombe Breastfeeding Centre
	June 13th	Saturday Sewing Day	A chance to practice free machine quilting and bring any project on which you want help and enjoy sewing with friends
	June 16th	Anna Mansi	Red Cross Quilts update and other historic quilts
	July 21st	Wendy Dolan	Creative Stitched Textiles. An open meeting when visitors and friends are especially welcome (£2.50 entrance)
	August 18th	Members Mini Workshops	A selection of small projects demonstrated by members
	September 15th	Members Workshop	Christmas Tree hanging by Jean Dodds

	November 17th	Mini Exhibition	Mystery Quilt Mini Exhibition, social event including cushion tombola. An open meeting when visitors and friends are especially welcome (£2.50 entrance)

Shirley Quilters is a quilting group and as such we do not run classes, although on many evenings there will be a demonstration and we organise several workshops a year. We work on group projects or our own work.

If you have experience of patchwork and quilting and would enjoy meeting like minded people, or if you have sewing experience but would like to try your hand at something different, please come along.

2008 PROGRAMME

January 15th	Needles and Notions	Jenny LeCroissette from Bromley Sewing Machines to talk about the right needle for the task, with needles and threads for sale.
February 19th	Button Up Quilt	Working on our group quilt for the Guild exhibition.
March 18th	Spring Projects	THIS MEETING HAS HAD TO BE CANCELLED, SHIRLEY QUILTERS WAS UNABLE TO HAVE THE CHURCH HALL DUE TO HOLY WEEK
April 15th	Transforming Fabric	Lauren Shanley transforms vintage fabrics into collages for clothing, interiors and accessories. This is an open meeting when visitors and friends are especially welcome. (£2.50 entrance.)
May 20th	A.G.M.	Finalising Exhibition details. Bring back raffle blocks.
June 7th	Exhibition - a visitor's write-up Exhibition - the Chairwoman's write-up	Shirley Quilters Biennual Exhibition. It would be great to see at least one exhibit from each member.
June 17th	Exhibition unpacked Letter from Barbara	Awards from exhibition, feedback and ideas.
July 15th	Choosing and Using Colour Download Magic Squares pattern	Mini workshop with Linda Mercer.
August 19th	Sit and Sew	An opportunity for those who want to learn or practice machine quilting.
September 16th	Creative Quilting	Izzy from the East Molsey shop to talk about new products and with a good selection from the shop to buy.
October 21st	Christmas Ideas	A members' mini workshop.
November 15th	Mosiacs Workshop	Barbara Weeks
November 18th	Show and Tell	A chance to show items made at the Mosiacs workshop and any other projects.
December 16th	Christmas Cracker	Christmas social event.
