Quilt Show	January 19th	Miniature Landscape Pictures & 10th Birthday Celebrations	Simple landscape pictures to help use up some of your stash! Including show and tell of your landscape ideas.
Reviews	February 6th	Dyeing Workshop Day	Led by Neredah and Barbara
Links	February 16th	Group Quilt Project	Beginning work on quilts to raffle at the exhibition, bunting making and a block exchange idea.
Guest Book	March 16th	Visit from Puddleducks Shop	Jo Baddeley will also be demonstrating a project using charm squares.
	April 20th	Carolyn Forster	Talk entitled "How I got here". An open meeting when visitors and friends are especially welcome. (£2.50 entrance). There will be a raffle during the evening.
	May 18th	Mini Makes	Evening includes block exchange part 2. Please note annual subs due this month.
	June 12th	Angela Madden	Saturday workshop - technique to be announced
	June 15th	AGM	Continuing work on the raffle quilt and show and tell during the evening
	July 20th	Paula Ozier	Paula is a Textile Designer and will speak about the design process and have some of her fabrics for sale. An open meeting when visitors and friends are especially welcome. (£2.50 entrance)
	August 17th	Back to Basics	A chance to ask questions and see demonstrations, sit and sew and chat.
	September 21st	Exhibition update	Last minute exhibition preparations

	October 19th	Christmas Decorations	Mini workshopp with Brenda Kay
	November 16th	Christine Restall	Talk entitled "Progress in Fits and Starts". An open meeting when visitors and friends are especially welcome. (£2.50 entrance) There will be a raffle during the evening.
	December 21st	Christmas all wrapped up!	Christmas social event.

Shirley Quilters is a quilting group and as such we do not run classes, although on many evenings there will be a demonstration and we organise several workshops a year. We work on group projects or our own work.

If you have experience of patchwork and quilting and would enjoy meeting like minded people, or if you have sewing experience but would like to try your hand at something different, please come along.

2008 PROGRAMME

January 15th	Needles and Notions	Jenny LeCroissette from Bromley Sewing Machines to talk about the right needle for the task, with needles and threads for sale.
February 19th	Button Up Quilt	Working on our group quilt for the Guild exhibition.
March 18th	Spring Projects	THIS MEETING HAS HAD TO BE CANCELLED, SHIRLEY QUILTERS WAS UNABLE TO HAVE THE CHURCH HALL DUE TO HOLY WEEK
April 15th	Transforming Fabric	Lauren Shanley transforms vintage fabrics into collages for clothing, interiors and accessories. This is an open meeting when visitors and friends are especially welcome. (£2.50 entrance.)
May 20th	A.G.M.	Finalising Exhibition details. Bring back raffle blocks.
June 7th	Exhibition - a visitor's write-up Exhibition - the Chairwoman's write-up	Shirley Quilters Biennual Exhibition. It would be great to see at least one exhibit from each member.
June 17th	Exhibition unpacked Letter from Barbara	Awards from exhibition, feedback and ideas.
July 15th	Choosing and Using Colour	Mini workshop with Linda Mercer.
August 19th	Sit and Sew	An opportunity for those who want to learn or practice machine quilting.
September 16th	Creative Quilting	Izzy from the East Molsey shop to talk about new products and with a good selection from the shop to buy.
October 21st	Christmas Ideas	A members' mini workshop.
November 15th	Mosiacs Workshop	Barbara Weeks
November 18th	Show and Tell	A chance to show items made at the Mosiacs workshop and any other projects.
December 16th	Christmas Cracker	Christmas social event.
